-- Company is the repeated-champion in the Next Magazine’s Top Service Award --

Hong Kong– Manulife (International) Limited (MIL) is again elected as the winner of the Next Magazine’s Top Service Award 2004 in both the “Insurance Company” and the “MPF Service” categories, underscoring its leadership in providing excellent service to customers. Manulife has outperformed all other competing companies to triumph in the “Insurance Company” category for five times, and has been the all-time winner in the “MPF Service” category since it was first introduced in 2002.

"Winning these accolades again prove our relentless commitment in service excellence," said Mr. Michael Huddart, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Hong Kong, MIL. "At Manulife, we believe in focusing on the professional development of our staff and advisorspeople. By maximizing their potential, we are able to deliver better quality service and achieve a higher level of customer satisfaction."

Manulife also continuously enhanced its service capabilities to better serve its customers. It has invested significantly into the technological support for its agency force, allowing them to provide prompt and efficient services. It also regularly upgraded its customer web site for MPF to facilitate easier account management and convenient information uploading and downloading for MPF scheme members. In 2003, Manulife introduced two new funds with the underlying investments managed by Fidelity Investments Management (H.K.) Ltd to cater to the growing needs of its Manulife Global Select (MPF) S cheme members.

Next Magazine’s Top Service Award is an annual competition that acknowledges companies for their success in achieving service excellence in the eyes of consumers, and aims to enhance belief in top quality service by companies in different sectors. The Award is presented annually and winners are decided through public ballot. Votes were collected by Next Magazine and its sister publication Apple Daily, and through the Next Media Web site, and the winners were selected based upon the results of the voting. Next Magazine is Hong Kong’s most widely circulated weekly general interest magazine.

Earlier this year, Manulife has also won the “Superbrand Awards” from Reader’s Digest and the “Yahoo! Emotive Brand Award from Yahoo Hong Kong.
