Hong Kong– Manulife (International) Limited has won two honorary awards – the "Challenge Cup - Overall Top Fund Raiser" and the "Top Fund Raiser of the New Territories Walk" in the Walks for Millions 2003/2004 event organised by the Community Chest of Hong Kong. Last year, the Company was also the overall top fund-raiser as well as the top fund-raiser of the Hong Kong & Kowloon Walk.

Participation in the Walk is a regular event in Manulife’s annual calendar. This year, despite the poor weather, more than 1,000 staff, insurance and financial advisors, customers and their families took part in the New Territories Walk. They raised more than HK$840,000 to support elderly services provided by member agencies of the Community Chest.

The Manulife Recreation Club, which was set up in 1975 to co-ordinate recreational and welfare activities as well as community services for Manulife’s staff, insurance and financial advisors, has been the key organiser of the annual Walks for Millions activities within the Company.
