Kuala Lumpur – Manulife Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad (Manulife Malaysia) presented cash prizes worth RM30,000 to 15 athletes for their gold medal individual and team performances at the recent Doha Asian Games. Malaysia scored eight gold medals of which six were from individual events and two from team events.

“We are extremely delighted to congratulate all the Malaysia medalists for their superb performance and to specially recognise the gold medalists” said Ms. Susan Ong, Assistant Vice-President, Marketing of Manulife Malaysia when presenting the cash awards to the recipients.

“Manulife believes in building winners in its life insurance operation, and similarly these athletes are also winners for their supreme effort and achievement,” said Ms. Ong. “It takes a lot of determination and hard work to produce high quality performances at international sporting events such as the Asian Games.“

In this edition of the Manulife/Olympic Council of Malaysia Athlete of the Games Award programme, RM3,000 is awarded to the gold medalist of individual events and for the team gold events, RM1,000 is awarded to each of the athletes who are members of the team.
