Stephani Kingsmill Stephani Kingsmill is Executive Vice President, Human Resources for Manulife Financial and is responsible for the Company’s global human resources organization, which includes talent acquisition, talent retention, leadership training, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation, benefits and other company services provided to 24,000 employees in 22 countries. She is a member of Manulife’s Executive Committee and Management Committee.

A graduate of Queen’s University, Ms. Kingsmill joined Manulife in 1988, and has extensive experience in the Company’s core, financial services business lines, having held senior positions in Manulife’s U.S. and Canadian Divisions. In 2001, Ms. Kingsmill moved to Manulife’s Investment Division where she was responsible for developing products and marketing strategies to support Manulife’s third-party investment management capabilities around the world.

Prior to assuming her current role, Ms. Kingsmill was Senior Vice President and General Manager, Real Estate for Manulife Financial. Ms. Kingsmill joined Manulife’s Real Estate group in January 2005, initially as Vice President, Corporate Real Estate, overseeing the Company’s office space requirements and facilities worldwide. Here, she provided leadership in the execution of the real estate component of Manulife’s merger with John Hancock, the largest cross-border merger in Canadian history, and the largest and most complex business integration project in Manulife’s history. In June 2006, Ms. Kingsmill was promoted to head-up Manulife’s multi-billion dollar global real estate investment portfolio, assuming overall responsibility for strategic management and operations, including acquisitions and dispositions, asset management, development, leasing, marketing and financial management of the extensive portfolio of prime office and industrial properties in key metropolitan centers throughout Canada, the United States and Asia.

Ms. Kingsmill was named one of the 100 most influential women in Canada by the Women’s Executive Network in two consecutive years, 2008 and 2009. She is a former board member of the Real Property Association of Canada (REALPac), Canada’s senior national industry association for owners and managers of investment real estate, and served as a member of the Commercial Building Retrofit Leadership Council of Greening Greater Toronto, a group charged with addressing and identifying greater resource efficiencies in Toronto’s commercial buildings.
