Manulife captured its sixth consecutive Sing Tao Excellent Services Brand Award, winning in the MPF Services Provider category for the third year running. The Awards recognize organizations, through public voting, for their commitment to the highest levels of customer service. Manulife topped the list of seven participants in the MPF Services Provider category, underlining the Company’s unrivaled strength in this area. Manulife previously picked up three annual awards in the “Insurance” sector.

The Manulife European Equity Fund and International Bond Fund both topped the bill in the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) category at the recent Hong Kong Lipper Awards. The awards celebrate strong performance for funds registered in Hong Kong. Both Manulife Asset Management-managed funds were recognized for their 3- and 5-year performances in this category.

Manulife-Sinochem’s (MSL) Dread Disease Gold Package “Chang Bao Wu You” was recently named the “2011 Most Popular Insurance Product” at the inaugural “Chinese Life Insurance Industrial Summit Forum” in Beijing. “Chang Bao Wu You”, which is a par product package providing comprehensive death and dread disease protection to the public, achieved this honour after obtaining the highest number of votes in an online public election of the “Insurance Industry Top 10.” The Summit was organized by the online financial media “Financial Community” and “International Financial News” print publication.

John Hancock Funds won four awards at the 2012 Lipper Fund Awards. The firm received a Group Award Trophy in the Mixed Assets, Large Company category. It also was honoured for its John Hancock Lifecycle 2010 and John Hancock Lifecycle 2015 Portfolios, R5 shares, in their respective 2010 and 2015 Mixed Asset Target Date Fund categories, for their three-year performance records. The John Hancock Active Bond Fund, NAV, won an award for five-year performance among General Bond Funds. The three funds are managed by Manulife Asset Management.

Manulife Mutual Funds won two individual awards at the 2012 Canadian Lipper Fund Awards. For the second year in a row, the Manulife Structured Bond Class Advisor Series was recognized within the Canadian Fixed Income Balanced category for providing consistent strong risk-adjusted performance relative to its peers over a five-year period. In the International Equity category, the Manulife International Dividend Income Fund Advisor Series won for excellence over a one-year time period. Both funds are sub-advised by Manulife Asset Management.
